Thanks for the memories. I first went there in 1976 - met some Hawaiians who told me stories about dropping acid when Kilauea went off and sitting quite near communicating with Pele. Not much seems to have changed in 30 years. :)

There is quite a "new age" community there in Puna. Seems like many people are moving through and a lot of older and younger people have been settling down to make a place amongst other fellow open-minded and tuned-in people. Many musicians, healers, farmers, magicians (!?), artisans, psychics, poets, etc... oh man, I want to go back soon!

BTW, did you ever go to Ecstatic Dance? They have one on the Big Island and one in East Bay, Oakland.
